What We Do:

At PsychED, our mission is to show how psychology is a STEM discipline. PsychED aims to foster psychological science engagement in high school students and make psychological education both accessible and inclusive, especially for those from underrepresented communities. We do this by:

• Delivering interactive and hands-on workshops on psychology topics, such as forensic psychology, cognitive psychology, scientific thinking, etc., at high schools and youth community centres.
• Conducting Psychological Science Laboratory Days at Ontario Tech, where students can explore and utilize lab equipment, such as EEG (Electroencephalography measures the electrical activity of the brain) and BIOPAC MP160 system (Recordings of autonomic nervous system activity), attend lectures,  learn about the research process, and engage with professors. 
• Offering online resources and mentorship opportunities for both students and educators to make STEM education more accessible and easier to teach.​
