A One-of-a-Kind On-Campus Experience for Grade 12 Students:
We are currently developing an exciting Experiential Lab Day at Ontario Tech University designed to give high school students a hands-on introduction to psychology as a STEM discipline.
This immersive event will allow high school students to step into the world of psychological science through interactive lab tours, real-world demonstrations, and face-to-face conversations with professors and current university students.
Who Is It For?:
Grade 12 students, especially those interested in psychology!
When Is It Happening?:
Our first Lab Day is in the works and will take place in the Winter of The 2025-2026 School Year. Stay tuned for the confirmed date!
What to Expect (Coming Soon!):
Use real lab equipment like EEG and BIOPAC MP160 system to explore brain and nervous system activity
Attend lectures from psychology professors
Participate in demos that bring psychology concepts to life
Explore cognitive and behavioural experiments
Connect with current undergraduate and graduate university students studying psychology and forensic psychology
Learn how to design a research question and analyze data
Ask questions about university life, programs, and careers in psychology and related fields in STEM
